1.Agreement to Terms
1.1. By
entering adult-fanfiction.org (hereafter
"AFF" or "the Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms
of Service (ToS) and the linked Content Guidelines. You acknowledge that AFF
may update, change, or modify the ToS at any time. While AFF will endeavour to
notify users of changes, it is your responsibility to review the ToS
periodically. Your continued use of the Site constitutes acceptance of any
changes.
2.User Accounts
2.1. You must create a user account to access all features of the Site.
2.2. You certify that all information provided during registration is accurate and complete.
2.3. One Account Per Person: Only one account is allowed per individual unless explicit permission for a Joint Account (for co-authors) is obtained by emailing tos_team@adult-fanfiction.org.
2.4. Your account is for your sole use. Sharing login credentials with others is prohibited.
2.5. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities under your account.
2.6. You must notify AFF immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.
2.7. Age
Requirement: By accessing AFF and/or creating an account, you affirm that
you are at least 18 years of age and legally permitted to view
adult material.
3.Content Submission & Ownership
3.1. Your Responsibilities:
3.1.1. You affirm that any User Submission posted under your account is your original work and not plagiarized from any source.
3.1.2. You will not post anyone else's work without the express, written permission of the copyright holder, unless the work is in the Public Domain.
3.1.3. You must adhere to all Content Guidelines.
3.2. Prohibited Submission Types: "Read-The-Book" and "Fan-Make" submissions are strictly prohibited and considered acts of plagiarism.
3.3. AFF's Stance:
3.3.1. User Submissions are considered fair use under U.S. Copyright Law (Overview).
3.3.2. User Submissions do not reflect the opinions of AFF's owners, moderators, or staff. AFF is not responsible for User-Submitted content.
3.3.3. All content on AFF, except User Submissions, is owned by AFF and protected by copyright law.
3.3.4.
Content is fictional unless otherwise specified.
AFF respects artistic freedom and does not censor based on personal beliefs,
within legal bounds.
4.Policy on Artificial Intelligence (AI) Use
4.1. Ethical
Use of AI Tools:
AFF acknowledges the emergence of AI-powered writing assistants. Our primary
value is the protection and celebration of authentic, human creative
expression. Therefore, the use of AI in content creation is permitted only
under strict ethical guidelines.
4.2. Prohibitions:
4.2.1. No Fully AI-Generated Submissions: Submitting content that is entirely generated by artificial intelligence (e.g., fully written by an AI tool with minimal to no human creative input, direction, or substantive editing) is strictly prohibited. Such submissions violate the site's core principle that User Submissions must be your own personal work.
4.2.2. No Misrepresentation: You must not misrepresent AI-generated text as your original human creation.
4.3. Permissible
Use:
The use of AI tools as a supplemental aid to the human
creative process may be permissible. Examples include:
4.3.1. Using AI for brainstorming ideas or overcoming writer's block.
4.3.2. Using AI for basic grammar, spelling, or syntax checks.
4.3.3. Using AI to suggest alternative phrasing.
4.4. Certification
of Human Authorship:
By posting a User Submission, you certify that the work is the product of your
own human authorship and creative effort. If AI tools were used in any capacity
during the creation process, you must be prepared to demonstrate your
substantive creative role and the significant human effort invested in the
work.
4.5. Violations
& Enforcement:
Submissions found to be in violation of this AI Policy will be treated as acts
of plagiarism and/or a violation of content submission guidelines. Enforcement
actions under Section 6 will apply, including the deletion of
content and potential account sanctions.
5.Prohibited Conduct & Violations
5.1. You agree not to engage in the following activities, which constitute violations of these ToS:
5.2. Examples of Terms of Service Violations:
5.2.1. Age/Restricted Content: Submitting material featuring real people under the age of 18.
5.2.2. Plagiarism & Theft: Posting work copied from another source without permission, including "Read-The-Book" or "Fan-Make" submissions.
5.2.3. Account Abuse: Creating multiple accounts without permission, sharing your account, or using a disposable email address for registration.
5.2.4. Unauthorized Copying: Downloading or copying site content without explicit permission from the original poster.
5.2.5. Harassment: Flaming, harassing, or being disrespectful to other users, staff, administrators, or owners.
5.2.6. Advertising: Placing advertisements in User Submissions or on Author pages (adding your site to the designated URL field is permitted).
5.2.7.
Failure to Report: Being aware of
another user's intentional ToS violations and failing to notify AFF
immediately.
6.Site Operations & Enforcement
6.1. Advertising:
Advertising within User Submissions or on Author pages is not allowed. For
information on official advertising campaigns, please visit
the Advertising Information page.
6.2. Email
Requirement:
A valid, active email address is required for registration. Disposable email
addresses are prohibited and may result in immediate account deletion.
6.3. Data
Responsibility:
While AFF strives to prevent data loss, it is not responsible for any data loss
or corruption. You are strongly encouraged to maintain personal backups of your
work.
6.4. Enforcement
Actions:
Violations of these rules may result in, but are not limited to:
6.4.1. Hiding, editing, deleting, or repossessing your submissions.
6.4.2. Suspension or permanent deletion of your account.
6.4.3. All enforcement actions are taken at the sole discretion of site administrators, without prior notice.
6.4.4.
The decision regarding account reinstatement is
final and not open for discussion.
7.Legal Disclaimer
7.1. You understand that AFF will not censor based on personal beliefs but will remove content that violates these ToS or the law. Content based on real persons under 18 will be deleted immediately upon discovery to prevent legal issues.
7.2. Your use of the Site is at your own risk. AFF disclaims liability for User Submissions and any data loss, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
7.3. By using adult-fanfiction.org, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Terms of Service & User Agreement.
